Been Awhile….
Wow! I haven’t updated my blog in some time due to in part to my lameness. Although I have been off to a decent start this 09, I just haven’t had the time to update the blog! Where should I even start?
Christmas break was much needed! I can’t even begin to tell you how stressful it was to get to snowy Minnesota in my 1997 honda. I started my trek on December 16th at 8:00 AM, planning to get to chicago by 4:00 and spend the evening with my friend Adam Allison, Jeremy Lardani, Doug Kvamme, and Jon Sieber. I started early in the morning because the forecast was looking bad for the Chicago area. I drove up through Indiana and reached the southern part of Chicago (the most friendly part) at 5:00 and sat in traffic until 10:00 that night as 12 inches of snow came down! Chicago traffic is always bad but you can imagine the chaos with the driving conditions. I was beyond frustrated only to be calmed by the movie Once on my ipod.
I miss the midwest but definitely not the weather and traffic that comes a long with it. My good friend Josh Danielson (who deserves an entire blog post dedicated to him, Soon To Come!) said it best in his latest blog entry. There is so much I love about Minnesota! Although this past week Minnesota Temperatures reached -40 degrees compared to 62 and sunny in Nashville today! While in Minnesota I got to see my brand new nieces Beatrice and Ingrid and of course throw the ball up and down the stairs for hours upon hours with my favorite nephew Graham!
I got back to Nashville on January 3rd and immediately began working at the restaurant again
Things are looking up however! This past weekend I played three dates with Jeremy Riddle in Mississippi and we have two more this weekend in Maryland and Pennsylvania! Our schedule is posted on his myspace, you can check it out if you want! There is talk of a tour this spring and fall so hopefully we’ll make it up north! That would be a dream come true! I’ll let you know as soon as I know (asaik).
I went to a Nashville Predators game this past week with my good friend Jason. Saw a pretty decent fight which was the coolest part of the night for me. I’ve always thought that if I was a hockey player I would be the enforcer. Mostly due to my size and scrappy fighting ability. Since I’ve been down here I’ve hung with lots of friends from Minnesota! Its been a huge blessing! I’m still waiting for these guys to come visit me!
Coupla the greatest guys in the world! Get down here soon! PLEASE!
More to come soon!

Sneaks up on you like cold weather!
Its the most wonderful time of year! Christmas time! I’m getting ready in a few weeks to go home and see the family! There is so much to do before I leave on the 16th but all the hard work will be much appreciated as I drive 14 hours home to Minnesota! We added a new decoration to the condo this past week.
Its a Christmas Tree! It looks the best in the dark, but I couldn’t get a good shot of it.
On a different note, I’ve been rethinking my bass strategic plan and ended up selling the my 62 reissue that I’ve had for the past few years. Its hard to say goodbye after so many good memories but I think it found its way to a good owner.
This is kind of a funny picture I found. I must have really been feeling it cause think I might have actually left the ground an inch or two there. Thats the bass! She was a beauty! When I moved down to Nashville I had four basses and now I’ve narrowed it down to just one! I’m really looking forward to restructuring everything this fall!
I ran into an old friend at the blockbuster in Green Hills the other day.
She acted like she didn’t remember me….
I’ve been getting into a television series like never before! I think I’m obsessed with Heroes I’ve watched 16 episode in three days, while I should have been completing my online class to finish my degree!
I think I’m addicted to this show! Hooked like a fish!
I went to a show the other night at the Exit Inn. It was the Ten out of Tenn Christmas tour. Our friend Andy Davis sang a new song called Christmas time! I’ve been listening to it none-stop since I’ve heard it! You can check it out here! Let me know what you think!

Thanksgiving
So much to give thanks for! I didn’t get to go home to Minnesota to visit my family this year but I’m still thankful! I’m getting geared up to go home in a couple weeks for Christmas! Wahoo! Can’t wait for a 14 hour car ride all by myself! I love driving though, especially at night! What’s better then the open road listening to some good tunes? I’m excited! And Gas Prices are looking great these days so that will cut my trip expenses in half! More money for monsters and heath bars…right!?
This past week my good friend Adam Allison came down from Chicago to spend thanksgiving with me!
This guy! We had a great time! The first thing we did was go to the grocery store and stock up on food for the week! We cooked some great meals! Thanksgiving day rolled around and we went to the Cracker Barrel. It was packed! We had to wait a half hour before we got seated! Who goes to Cracker Barrel on Thanksgiving day anyways? This was the first year that instead of turkey and mashed potatoes I had “Momma’s Homemade Pancakes.” Start of a new tradition? I hope not! But it was alright just this once!
I did some laundry right before Adam got to my place, has anyone ever had this problem?
So sad! but I found out that nail polish remover does the trick on pen explosions in the dryer! Just an FYI
We got free front row tickets to the Justin Timberlake concert! How bout that!
I reached out my hand and he actually touched it!
Well Adam left today which greatly saddens me! The only way to fix my inconsolable grief is to tell myself that in three weeks I’ll stop in Chicago to visit Adam, Jeremy Lardani, Doug Kwamme, Jon Seiber, and Josh Danielson (if I could ever get ahold of him).

clarkandmichael.com
www.clarkandmichael.com I just wanted to throw this out there, you can feel free to throw it right back if you don’t like it. Some mid-western friends of mine showed me an internet-series of pilot shows depicting the life of two guys trying to write a television series. The show consists of Michael Cera (from arrested development) and Clark Duke (from who knows where) . Its pretty hilarious, or at least I think it is. I have a lot of friends who go to extremes of not taking my recommendations because then it wasn’t discovered by them and therefore its not unique or anything special. Well, set that aside and watch a few episodes. (DISCLAIMER: Josh Fink in no way endorses any of the crude language or activity that may or may not be found in www.clarkandmichael.com).

Road Trip!
I had the chance this weekend to go to a cabin in the mountains/woods of North Carolina with some good friends Josh Robinson, Seth Philpott, Evan Weatherford, Andy Davis and Taylor. I had a great time and some much needed rest and relaxation to clear my head and get a few things straight! I could describe all the events but pictures are worth thousands of words and my fingers don’t have the stamina to type thousands upon thousands of words. So here goes my first picture blog!
